Join us at the Tait Pool for Lane or Leisure swimming or bring your floor of friends in to play water basketball! A user-operated lift is available to provide accessibility to our members. Drop-In Swimming
Enjoy drop-in swimming in a welcoming, lifeguarded environment designed for fitness, recreation, and community use. Our programs are open to swimmers of varying abilities and offer structured options for both lane swimming and leisure activities.
Our aquatic staff are always on the deck to support a safe and positive experience. Please speak with a lifeguard if you have any questions or need assistance.
Available Drop-In Programs
- Lane & Leisure Swim
- This program offers a balance of fitness and recreational swimming in a shared pool environment.
- Designated lanes are available for continuous lap swimming.
- A leisure area is reserved for relaxed swimming and recreational activities.
- Lanes are organized by pace where possible to support swimmers of different speeds.
- Swimmers are asked to follow posted lane-swim etiquette for the enjoyment of all participants.
- Women’s Only Swim
- Women’s Only Swim provides a comfortable and inclusive environment for swimmers who identify as women.
- Lifeguarded by female staff.
- Includes both lane swimming and leisure swimming options.
- Designed to reduce barriers to participation and support cultural, religious, and personal comfort needs.
Facility Amenities
- Change rooms, lockers, and showers are available for all swimmers.
- Programs are offered during scheduled drop-in swim hours.
- All swims are fully supervised by certified lifeguards.
Eligibility
- Students:
- Current students paying incidental fees may access drop-in swimming at no additional cost.
- Members:
- Participants must hold an active Community Recreation Membership or Fitness Membership to access drop-in aquatic programming. Day passes are not valid for drop-in swimming.

Lessons are offered in group and private formats with 30-minute and 45-minute private options available depending on your needs.
